The Project Manager will have direct responsibility for the co-ordination, implementation, and delivery of specific projects. You will ensure that projects are delivered within specific timeframes, budget constraints and agreed margins.

Areas of specific responsibility include: –

• Lead the planning and implementation of projects;

• Facilitate the definition of project scope, goals and deliverables;

• Manage and control project staff and sub-contractors;

• Review and monitor projects,

• Full ownership and control of project costs, ensuring margin control, interim and final billing, and direct payments;

• In conjunction with the Account Management teams, identify opportunities for project works, and ensure robust and compelling proposals are submitted/presented to customers;

• Ensure that safe working conditions are maintained on all projects/sites, and that HBE’s health and safety policies and processes are accurately implemented;

• Maintain a strong commercial focus on all projects to ensure that works deliver/meet the requirements set out;

• Project completion – full ownership of the handover process at completion stage, ensuring that all requirements are dealt with promptly;

• Development of strategic partnerships with sub-contractors to support the delivery of projects across all regions.

Requirements for the role: –

• A qualification in project management, preferably in the fields of construction/mechanical engineering;

• Have a minimum of 5 years’ experience in a project management role;

• Proven experience in people and sub-contractor management;

• Previous experience of managing multiple projects for customers;

• In-depth knowledge of Health & Safety, coupled with the ability to manage and control all health and safety related project activities.
