Reporting to the Finance Director, the Company Accountant will be responsible for the monthly financial reporting of HBE and our sister company, Bluezone Technologies Limited.

The key responsibilities of this position include, the production of management accounts and month end journals; preparation and development of monthly KPI reporting for internal use. Preparation of financial KPIs for inclusion in Board Meetings will be a key function of the Company Accountant. This position will manage the Accounts Payable process, the fixed asset registrar and the monthly payroll process.

The Ideal Person:

The successful candidate will ideally be a fully qualified accountant with a minimum of 1-2 years’ experience gained within a fast-paced commercial environment or someone at Assistant Manager level, keen to move into Industry. You will have excellent analytical, interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to work to tight deadlines.

Essential Criteria

• Third level education to include a financial/business related subject, and/or fully qualified Accounting technician [ATI].

• Strong commercial acumen.

• Highly proficient with MS Office [particularly Excel & PowerPoint]

· Demonstrable experience in Sage Line 50 & Sage Payroll systems.

• Independent self-starter with the ability to identify improvement to procedures.

• Ability to understand key business drivers, interpret financial results and when required to

· produce financial analysis information.

• Experience of working as part of a team and effective communication within an

· organisation.

• Proven record of ability to work to tight deadlines and in a pressurised team based

· environment.

Desirable criteria: –

• Previous experience in Sage Micropay payroll system

• Previous experience with Paperless Document Management System
