HISTORY

Savage and Whitten Wholesale Ltd (S&W) based in Newry, Co. Down is ideally located between Belfast and Dublin. Our history goes back to 1916 with the establishment of Newry Cash & Carry and again to 1920 when J & E Whitten were formed. Both firms merged in 2000 to become the Savage & Whitten Wholesale of today, one of the largest independent wholesalers in Northern Ireland. As a member of the TODAYS Group we are able to offer the value and range of a national distributor and being located in Newry can offer you a local solution to all your requirements with over 6,500 wholesale lines. Covering confectionery, soft drinks, grocery, non-food grocery, chilled, fresh & frozen. We also have an extensive range of additional products via our Central Billing partners to include all departments within the local convenience market. S&W’s products are available at competitive prices with market leading promotional support and fantastic offers. Our dedicated Customer Service & Marketing team are available from 8.00am to 5.30pm Monday to Thursday and Friday 8.00am to 4.30pm to assist you with enquiries and orders,

WHERE WE DELIVER

S&W offer free delivery to the whole of Northern Ireland and many parts of the Republic of Ireland. For those who may be located outside of our designated delivery areas we can offer you highly competitive haulage rates. Wherever you are based one of our Representatives can visit you on a weekly basis so you can be assured of our personal attention.

COLLECTION

We are open to the public on a Click & collect basis. You may place your order online or by phone before 4pm and Collect your order in person the following day from 8.30am (Collection available Monday – Friday).

PROMOTIONS

Our three weekly promotional cycle (17 Campaigns per year) offers more than 1,500 skus giving the retailer, the ability to offer aggressive consumer deals, enhancing margin at a special competitive price. We also provide additional “2 Week Specials” throughout the year where additional savings can be achieved. Our promotions change so frequently to ensure that our customers receive the most competitive prices within the local market. Our marketing team provide additional POS to support each promotion in-store.
